Keeping YYC caffeinated during one of our busiest times of year is a very important job—that’s why we’re recognizing someone who does it so well, Cailey from Deville Coffee.
If you’ve ever stopped by Deville, you’ve likely met Cailey: The friendly face who greets you by name and remembers your favourite drink without hesitation. Spotting a regular from a distance, Cailey often has their order brewing before they even reach the counter. Our Director of Safety, Security, Compliance and Emergency Response, Paul Hayes, said it best:
“You [Cailey] are the first smiling face in the morning and at the end of the day.”
Cailey’s attention to detail and genuine care transforms Deville into a cornerstone of comfort and familiarity. Her commitment to creating a sense of community, one cup at a time, is what makes her a true Holiday Hero.
“I like all the people I get to meet and talk to from all over the world, as well as all the regulars who come in,” says Cailey. “To show appreciation, I like to give free drinks sometimes, especially if I can tell someone’s had a bad day.”
As the holiday season reminds us to slow down and appreciate one another, Cailey embodies what it means to show up with heart. Through her role at Deville, she’s not just fueling our guests and team – Cailey’s reminding us all of the joy that comes from sharing a little kindness, all year round.
