Meet the dedicated individuals who make up our Board of Directors, each bringing their unique expertise and passion to guide YYC, our partners and our teams towards success.
Not only does our Board ensure the safe, secure and efficient operations of both YYC Calgary International Airport and YBW Springbank Airport – they also are leading community members, and work to advance economic and community development both within and outside of the aviation industry.
Meet Our Board
The Calgary Airport Authority’s Board of Directors bring extensive experience, diverse perspectives and strong roots in the community to their governance role. Members are appointed by the City of Calgary, the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Long Range Planning Committee, Rocky View County and the Government of Canada.
Andrea Robertson
Board Chair
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2017
Originally appointed to the Board of Directors in 2017 by the Calgary Chamber, Andrea Robertson most recently was the President and CEO of STARS, a not-for-profit helicopter air ambulance service that provides critical emergency care in Western Canada, until retiring in 2023. Prior to STARS, she spent nearly 30 years in a variety of health care leadership roles at Alberta Health Services, the Foothills Medical Centre and the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Andrea is widely recognized for her generous contributions to business and community life and continues to offer her support and expertise as a member of the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Board.
Jina Abells Morissette
Appointed by the City of Calgary in 2020
Jina Abells Morissette is an Executive Director at Russell Reynolds Associates, a global executive search firm. Prior to the move to executive search, Jina spent more than 20 years as a Legal Executive and Board Member. Most recently, Jina served as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Cavalier Energy Inc.; she held the same role at Silverbirch Energy Corp. and UTS Energy Corp. Jina has extensive experience in the energy industry, governance, human resources and executive compensation. She works extensively in the community and currently serves as Past Board Chair of Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and previously served on the boards of Calgary Reads and Theatre Calgary. Jina has a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Regina with a major in marketing and a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
Randolph (Randy) M. Charron
Appointed by Rocky View County in 2019
Randolph (Randy) M. Charron is the President and Director of Star Valley Drilling Ltd., a private oilfield drilling contractor with petroleum drilling assets in Canada, the United States, Trinidad and West Africa. He is also the President of Characo Corp., a privately held oil and gas investment firm. Randy is a director of PHX Technology Services Corp., an oilfield service company providing horizontal and directional drilling services in Canada, the United States, Albania and Russia. Randy graduated with a bachelor's degree from McMaster University. An aviation enthusiast, Randy holds a Transport Canada-issued airline transport pilot license. He is type rated on several citation jets and turbo prop aircraft and presently operates a private turbine aircraft out of YBW Springbank Airport. Randy is also a Director of the Springbank Airport Business and Pilots Association (SABPA).
Dino DeLuca
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2023
Dino DeLuca has over 25 years of legal, leadership and aviation experience and is the Chief Operating Officer of TriWest Capital Partners, the largest and longest standing private equity firm in Western Canada. Prior to joining TriWest, Dino was a Senior Partner at the Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer law firm where he founded and developed the aviation practice group and was part of its senior leadership team. Dino has been recognized with several honours throughout his distinguished legal career, including being named one of the world’s leading practitioners in aviation. Dino served on the Board for STARS, a not-for-profit enterprise providing emergency air ambulance services from six bases across Western Canada, and now serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, a not-for-profit advocacy group for the private capital industry in Canada.
Nancy Foster
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2024
Nancy Foster brings nearly 40 years of experience in the energy sector and valuable insight on business strategy, management and human resources to The Calgary Airport Authority. Throughout her career, Nancy has earned a reputation as a well-respected executive through diverse and dynamic leadership roles in human resources, organizational transformation, information services and technology, strategic planning, crisis management and supply chain management. During her time as In-Country Manager with Nexen in Norway, Nancy gained valuable experience in operations.
Her business experience includes memberships in various industry and community-related committees, including the Alberta Economic Development Authority, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and the Conference Board of Canada. Passionate about her community, Nancy has volunteered for several not-for-profit organizations including Hospice Calgary, Child and Youth Friendly Calgary, the YWCA of Calgary, and the United Way of Calgary and Area. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of SAIT Polytechnic and is a Board Member with Emissions Reduction Alberta. Nancy holds a master of business administration from the University of Calgary, where she also earned her bachelor of commerce degree.
Andrea Goertz
Appointed by the Government of Canada in 2019
Andrea Goertz has extensive experience as an executive and Board Member. Andrea was Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer at TELUS, leading a national team responsible for a diverse portfolio comprised of external communications, media relations, privacy, provincial government relations, real estate, corporate marketing, sponsorships, community investment, and corporate social responsibility. Andrea was accountable for the vision, design, partnership and execution of several iconic real estate developments, most notably TELUS Garden in Vancouver and TELUS Sky in Calgary. Andrea's leadership earned TELUS repeated recognition on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, and she was a recipient in 2012 and 2014 of WXN Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards. Andrea's past board experience includes Alberta Ballet, Theatre Calgary, Arts Commons, the TELUS Calgary Community Board and the Haskayne School of Business Advisory Council. Andrea currently serves on the boards of Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and TriSummit Utilities Inc. Andrea holds a bachelor of commerce degree in finance and a master of business administration, both from the University of Alberta, and is a graduate of the ICD Directors Education Program.
Rodney (Rod) D. Gray

Rod Gray is a dynamic and results-driven executive with over 25 years of proven leadership and strategic acumen in the energy industry. Recognized for transforming financial landscapes and coordinating pivotal transactions, he has a successful track record of driving profitability and building corporate value. Rod’s expertise spans capital markets, financial stewardship and operational integration, positioning him as a trusted architect of financial transformation. He is also known for building and empowering high-performing teams that deliver exceptional outcomes and instill stakeholder confidence. Rod is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Queen’s University. His commitment to community development includes board service with United Way Calgary and Telus Spark. Passionate about continuous improvement and community impact, he brings a balanced approach to financial excellence and social responsibility.
Catherine Luelo
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2024
Catherine Luelo is a passionate and seasoned executive dedicated to driving organizational transformation through the intersection of business and technology. She excels in outlining strategic initiatives, constructing an aggressive plan to achieve mandates and building strong teams to execute on strategic objectives.
Catherine’s most recent role was as the Deputy Minister, Chief Information Officer of Canada with the Government of Canada and she continues to serve as a Special Advisor to the Privy Council on matters of digital government. Prior to her government roles, Catherine was the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Air Canada. In this capacity, she oversaw the information technology systems supporting Air Canada's global business and implemented innovations using artificial intelligence while ensuring the security and reliability of the airline’s systems. Prior to that she served in executive roles with Enbridge Inc. and WestJet.
Catherine has served on the Board of Directors of MaRs Discovery, scale AI, the Global CIO Advisory Board for IBM and Amadeus, and was a Board Member for Creative Destruction Labs, Rapid Screening Consortium. During the pandemic, Catherine served as Chair for the Health Canada, Industry Advisory Roundtable on COVID-19 Testing, Screening, Tracing. Currently, she is an independent Director for Master Group.
Catherine holds a master of business administration from Athabasca University and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alberta. She is a proud mother of two and an advocate for mental health, having spent time with the Board of Directors for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation.
Manjit K. Minhas
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2020
Manjit K. Minhas is the Co-Founder and CEO of Minhas Breweries, Distilleries and Wineries, which were developed in Alberta and now sold in 16 countries and the ninth largest in North America. Manjit is a venture capitalist on CBC’s Dragons’ Den for the last eight years/seasons investing in dozens of Canadian small businesses and entrepreneurs across the country. Manjit is highly skilled and experienced in brand development, marketing, sales management and brewing operations, distribution, and manufacturing. Manjit has served for numerous businesses and not-for-profit boards and is a current Board Member for ATB Financial, Alberta Brewers Association as its environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) Committee Chair), Spiritleaf Cannabis and is the Co-Chair of the United Way of Calgary and Area. Manjit has extensive background and experience in shareholder relations, governance and executive performance and compensation. Manjit was appointed as the Honorary Lieutenant Colonel of the Canadian Armed Forces in late 2022.
Lara Murphy
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2023
Lara Murphy is the owner and President of Calgary’s Ryan Murphy Construction Inc. (RMC), the only female-owned commercial construction firm in the city, priding itself on being a diverse supplier advocating for inclusivity and authenticity. Lara is a public speaker who has participated in numerous panels and regularly gives talks about leadership, entrepreneurship, the construction industry, and women in business. Outside of work, Lara volunteers for various not-for-profit organizations and through her company has contributed to several community initiatives such as the Trellis Society, YWCA, Servus Calgary Marathon, Cerebral Palsy Kids, Fast and Female, and the Inglewood Community Association. She is YW Calgary’s past Board Chair, a Board Member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, and a member of SAIT’s Board of Governors. Lara was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022 for her contributions to improving life in Alberta.
Lisa Oldridge, CFA, ICD.D
Appointed by the City of Calgary in 2019
Lisa Oldridge is Founding Principal of Fulcrum Advisors with expertise in environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) performance integration and governance strategy for public and private companies, as well as for venture capital funds. Lisa is currently a Strategic Advisor with The51, a women-led financial platform and venture capital firm. Prior experience includes acting as Senior Advisor to boards and founders on advanced leadership and governance strategy, and over 15 years in the capital markets on the buy- and sell-sides, including managing director institutional equity sales and portfolio management. Lisa is a CFA charterholder, holds an MBA in finance from the Haskayne School of Business, the SASB (now Value Reporting Institute) FSA credential, and the Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation. Lisa has spent 20 years serving on crown, municipal, and not-for-profit boards as a Board Director and Advisory Board Member. She recently completed the Akimbo altMBA.
Craig Richmond, MBA
Appointed by the Calgary Chamber in 2021
Craig Richmond is a former President and CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority. His aviation background includes a decade as a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force, pivotal roles at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and CEO positions with Vantage Airport Group at six airports in three countries. After rejoining YVR as President and CEO in 2013, Craig over saw the airport's vision to become a world-class, sustainable hub. Under his leadership, YVR experienced rapid growth and continued to gain recognition. Craig is the 2016 recipient of Airports Council International – North America's (ACI-NA) Excellence in Visionary Leadership Award. And in 2019, the annual BC CEO Awards recognized Craig as CEO of the Year in the not-for-profit category. Craig is a former Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade and Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame.
Phillip (Phil) J. Scheibel
Appointed by the Government of Canada in 2019
Phillip (Phil) J. Scheibel is a Founding Partner at Rose LLP where he advises on natural resource and infrastructure projects and disputes across Western Canada. His experience includes critical infrastructure such as ring roads, light rail transit, hospitals, post-secondary institutions and airports. He is actively involved in the community including serving nine years as a Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association Calgary Region and as a long-time minor hockey, football and baseball coach. Phil holds a bachelor of arts degree and bachelor of laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and a mediation certificate from Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiation.
Tracey Zehl, FCA, FCPA, FEA
Appointed by the City of Calgary in 2022
As the Southern Alberta Managing Partner at Grant Thornton LLP, Tracey Zehl has over 25 years of experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant, providing assurance and business advisory services to clients in the not-for-profit and private sectors. Tracey has extensive experience in financial reporting, governance, executive leadership, risk management and strategic planning. In 2018, Tracey received a fellowship from CPA Alberta recognizing the exceptional service, honour and distinction she brings to the profession, community and charitable organizations. Tracey works extensively in the community and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Calgary Exhibition and Stampede Ltd., as well as Calgary Stampede Casino (GP) Ltd. She previously served on boards and various committees for Tourism Calgary, Rocky Mountain Equipment and Ronald McDonald House of Southern and Central Alberta.
