The Calgary Airport Authority announces changes to its inbound and outbound taxi fees Wednesday, November 15, 2023 | Catgories: News Release Calgary, Alberta – Effective Jan. 15, 2024, The Calgary Airport Authority (The Authority) will introduce a $4.00 inbound fee (drop-off) for all taxis arriving at YYC Calgary International Airport and will reduce its outbound (pick-up) taxi fee from $5.00 to $4.50. The inbound fee will be applied across the airport campus. The campus boundaries include Aero Drive/11th Street and adjoining properties on the west, down to McKnight Blvd, to McCall Way and adjoining properties, and the terminal. “We appreciate that change in pricing impacts our guests, and these decisions are made after careful consideration and review with the customer experience top of mind,” said Rob Palmer, Vice President, Commercial, Strategy & Chief Financial Officer. “Any revenue collected from current or future fees are reinvested in improvements to our facilities and operations to ensure guests have safe, efficient experiences.” These combined rates are in line with combined ride-share fees and will create a level playing field for taxis and ride-share companies operating on the airport campus. The Calgary Airport Authority collects the inbound and outbound fees from the taxi and ride-share operators which are paid for by passengers.
