Meet Brian Wyatt, one of YYC’s most dedicated White Hat Volunteers—and its biggest jokester! After retiring from a long aviation career with WestJet, Brian found a new way to share his passion for travel by volunteering at YYC.
After 10 years and 4,035 hours of volunteering at Calgary Airport, Brian knows the best way to spread joy is with laughter—and trust us, he’s got plenty of jokes to share! All these years, he’s been helping guests navigate their journeys with a hearty laugh and a helping hand.
Brian’s favorite way to spread joy is through humor, and he’s a pro at turning stressful travel moments into smiles. As a team lead, he trains new volunteers to embrace YYC’s welcoming spirit and sets an example of what it means to go above and beyond.
His best travel tip? “ARRIVE EARLY”—and he really means it! Brian loves meeting people from all over the world and lending a hand to make their travel experience as smooth as possible.
This holiday season, Brian’s warm spirit and infectious humor are lighting up YYC, reminding us all of the importance of connection and kindness. Thank you, Brian, for making spirits bright and bringing the magic of the White Hat Volunteers to life!
